What does delivered-at-place mean?

Delivered-at-place is one of the rules set out by the International Chamber of Commerce relating to international trade. Under this rule, the seller is responsible for preparing and transporting goods to the buyer's location and paying for the shipment as well as any losses that may result during transport.

What is delivered at Place (DAP)?

rule, applicable to any form or forms of transport (air, ocean, ground, or ), under which the seller is responsible for delivery of the goods, ready for unloading, at the named place of destination (often the buyer’s place of business).

What is a delivered-at-place Incoterm?

The ICC periodically publishes a set of International Commercial Terms, or Incoterms, for the purpose of bringing clarity in the terms of the contracts for international business transactions. Delivered-at-place was first introduced as an Incoterm in its 2010 publication.
